Every year on June 21st, skaters across cities around the world gather to celebrate their love for skateboarding. This day is known as “International Go Skate Day”. We’ve been to some of the biggest cities in the world and definitely many that have a love for skateboarding but we’ve yet to discover a city with a passion so deep for skateboarding as Medellin, Colombia!

This was our third trip to Colombia but maybe one of the more memorable trips we’ve ever led as an organization. In early 2018, we received an email from one of the government leaders requesting our support to help them host Go Skate Day in Medellin.

Given the opportunity to partner alongside the city to gather 2,000+ skaters, host numerous events, contests, and then in the midst of all of it to get to share a message of hope found in Jesus, we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.
