What makes Ride Nature different from other mission organizations is the strategy to use action sports as a tool to train leaders for ongoing ministry, reach the lost with the Gospel outreach events, inspire a new generation as we pioneer into new communities, and serve the local leaders who carry on the work of disciple making long after we leave.
This is the mission for every trip we lead.

Trip Vision

This trip is designed to help men step away from the noise of everyday life to encounter God, build authentic brotherhood, experience adventure, and catch the vision of what God is doing through Ride Nature in Latin America. Through surfing, motos, fishing, discipleship, and serving alongside our Nicaragua team, you get the chance to experience the mission in San Juan del Sur first hand. This trip isn’t just about adventure, it’s about seeing lives transformed, communities built, and hearing God’s call to each of us to go deeper. This is a “Vision Trip”; both external and internal.

We are excited to invite you to be a part of this trip! We pray you will come with an open heart and expect to be changed.

God is moving! We can’t wait for you to Come and See!

FACTS ABOUT nicaraguA

Population?

Nicaragua is home to about 6.9 million people, with much of its population living along the Pacific coast and in the vibrant colonial cities of Granada and León.

Geography?

Known as the “Land of Lakes and Volcanoes,” Nicaragua’s Pacific coastline is lined with world-class surf—uncrowded point breaks, hollow beachies, and perfect offshore winds nearly 300 days a year. San Juan del Sur, Popoyo, and Colorados have become destinations for surfers chasing both waves and meaning.

Language?

Spanish is the official language, though English and Creole are also spoken along the Caribbean coast.

Money?

Nicaraguan Córdoba (NIO), though U.S. dollars are widely accepted in most surf towns.

Faith?

Roughly 90% of Nicaraguans identify as Catholic, with a vibrant and growing community of believers throughout the country.

Random Fact?

Nicaragua is one of the few places on earth where offshore winds blow almost year-round, thanks to the steady trade winds that sweep across Lake Nicaragua—making it a surfer’s paradise for consistent, glassy waves.

"San juan del sur is a special place. God has cleary blessed ride nature with favor in a community where that does not come easily. the doors are open, and the gospel is going forward"

Mark Koch- fort myers, fl

This October will be 17 years that I have have been married to my best friend and love of my life, Shannon. I am a father to three incredible daughters, and an adventurer at heart. Whether surfing, skateboarding, riding motorcycles, or exploring the far corners of the world, I firmly believes every adventure is an opportunity to point people to Jesus. Above all things, there is nothing in this life that I want to do more than to know God and make His name known to the ends of the earth!
