Hi! We’re Zak & Ella Braun,

Born & raised east-coast Canadian adventurers now living on the west coast! We love all things creative, both being photographers who love to capture people in their essence, capturing what God’s doing around the world and creative storytelling. More than this, we love Jesus with all our hearts and seek to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth. 

Action sports have played a different role for both of us over the years! Skateboarding has been a love of Zak’s and has played a big part in his faith journey. Ella’s love for snowboarding has followed her over many years of her life. Doing these things together and discovering avenues to do these as ministry through Ride Nature has brought more life to them. Outside of action-sports, Ella has been studying theology & worship while functioning as a full-time photographer, while Zak has been working as a filmmaker at a media agency and runs a weekly skate ministry. We got married in July of 2024 and have been living in Chilliwack, BC ever since. 

God has transformed our lives in unique and extraordinary ways and we seek to remember and use these things in our daily lives. We appreciate big adventures, but have learned to love the steadiness of everything in-between. We love cooking meals together, going on walks, hosting our friends for games nights and spending slow mornings together. 

We both feel a deep calling to be a part of what God is doing globally and feel really excited for the ways God has opened doors, called, and led us to where we are today. Being a part of the Ride Nature team has transformed our outlook on ministry, playing big parts in both our lives. We have a deep heart for this ministry. More than that, serving in this ministry together has been a way that God has united our callings together to further the kingdom! This has brought together our love for action-sports, creative avenues, relationship building, storytelling, theology and discipleship to a point where we can lead trips with deep confidence that the Lord will provide and show us His glory in a multitude of ways.
