THE GOOD NEWS |

Imagine someone offers you a brand-new skateboard or pair of shoes—totally free. If you already have a nice skateboard or a new pair of shoes, this gift might not seem too significant, but if your board is broken down, bearings shot, or you’ve got holes in your soles, this gift means everything!

This analogy is a lot like our lives. We were made to live in perfect relationship with God, but sin—our selfishness, mistakes, and rebellion—broke that connection. No matter how hard we try, we can’t clean ourselves up or fix the damage. Like worn out shoes or a skateboard with wheels that won’t even roll, our sin has caused us too to become broken. The Good News is this: God didn’t leave us in that brokenness.

Jesus, God’s Son, came to Earth and lived the perfect life we couldn’t. Then He gave Himself up—dying on a cross—to take the punishment we deserved for our sin. But He didn’t stay dead. He rose from the grave, defeating sin and death, and now offers new life—a fresh start, a free gift.

Just like that free skateboard or pair of shoes, you can’t earn it. You just have to admit you need it, believe in Jesus, and receive it. This is THE Gospel—the Good News that changes everything!
