My name is Lara Claydon, aka “Lala”, as some people call me!

I’m a professional ocean athlete from Maui, Hawai’i, now living in Southern California. Since I was thirteen, I’ve competed at a professional level in stand-up paddling and now in longboarding—all while using my gifts to share God’s love and joy through my passion for the ocean, surfing, adventure, and traveling with others.

With a passion for action sports like surfing, snowboarding, and dirtbiking, and having been raised in an action sports family who constantly brought people along and shared the joy of God’s creation outside, I’m excited to be stepping into this next chapter the Lord has presented, serving full-time with Ride Nature California.

Born and raised in an ohana that serves in ministry, I've always had a heart for ministry and kids. Ride Nature is the best of both worlds, people who love Jesus, others, and action sports all in one! I’m excited about the journey the Lord has placed before me, sharing Jesus' love with young girls while mentoring and walking alongside them in the sports they love, and within the action sports industry that I have been involved in since I was little.
