JORDAN SNAPP

PERSONAL UPDATE

Howdy Everyone!

My name is Jordan Snapp and I have the absolute privilege to serve with Ride Nature, CA!

I grew up in a Christian home where my life consisted of church, school and sports - most of the time not in that order. It wasn’t until my 19th year on this earth that I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Savior. Soon after, I decided to drop out of nursing school to intentionally study God’s Word at the Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI).

As I mentioned before, sports have been one of the main pillars of my life, specifically combat and team sports, since I was 5 years old. It wasn’t until a year after I became a Christian I learned that I could use my love for sports to share God’s love to others. During my second year at WOLBI, I dedicated my life to missions - trusting that the Lord would lead me wherever I was needed. Over the course of my time at WOLBI, If I would accumulate those positions into one phrase it would be that a servant leader is to lay low and exalt Christ.

After the Bible Institute, I spent 18 months in the beautiful country of Portugal as a missionary teaching martial arts, serving in the local church and working in hospitality. While serving in one of the local churches, one of the teenagers began to teach me to skateboard, and in return, I taught him how to share the Gospel. This grasped my heart and attention to the need of evangelism and discipleship in action sports. Soon after, the Lord brought me back to the USA in the summer of 2022, where I developed an interest in rock-climbing. God has used that as its own mission field to proclaim the Gospel every time I walked into the gym. He also allowed me to serve in my local church’s youth ministry where I discipled multiple female students. Something I learned from my time in another country and the USA’ s church culture is that there is more to learn and grow from studying and applying God’s Word; which is why I desire to continue my studies and earn my Masters degree in Cross Cultural Evangelism and Church Development.

To add to Jack Wyrtzen’s quote, “It is the responsibility of each generation to reach their own generation for Christ...” I believe it is also the responsibility of each generation to train the next generation to proclaim Christ; which is why I am blessed to have the opportunity to demonstrate faithfulness through full-time ministry with Ride Nature CA as the Female Resident Advisor and Strategic Assistant. I am humbled and excited to learn from and serve alongside the staff, interns and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
