The prayer and dream of Ride Nature started back in November of 2009. Shannon and I had just gotten married and were praying about the next steps for our lives and where the Lord was leading us. We knew He was calling us into full-time missions but we had no idea what that was going to look like. I was driving home from work one evening and the Lord gave me the vision for Ride Nature.

The concept was pretty simple…lets get boards in the hands of kids who would never get the chance to surf or skate, and lets use the gift of a free board to share with those kids the Gospel. Growing up, my dream job was always to work with Operation Christmas Child. I felt like the Lord was telling us to do something similar but to use action sports as the tool.

The organization was officially founded as a 501(c)3 in the summer of 2010 shortly after returning from our first international trip as an organization.

To the ENDS of the earth all for HIS glory!

We are blown away at how the Lord is working through this ministry and continuing to grow and bless it. When we first started praying about the vision for Ride Nature never did we imagine that it would have the impact it has.

We’ve traveled to over 25 different countries, led over 70 international trips, and given away well over 2,000 boards to children around the world.

We can’t thank you all enough for believing in the work that we are leading, for investing your time, prayer, and resources into the advancement of the Gospel through something as crazy as surf and skate outreach. We continue to ask the Lord that He lead, guide, and direct the decisions we make and the direction we go. He has been so faithful since the beginning and we fully trust and believe He will continue to be. It is an honor and blessing to be leading this ministry and we thank Him daily.
