PERSONAL UPDATE

I am so excited to be joining the Ride Nature team as the new Missions Coordinator. We have always had a heart to serve the Lord in missions, and to be able to be involved in the action sports community is just incredible. This position on the Global team serves to support the Global Director, the Missions Director and the Ride Nature team as they strive to impact the world through action sports, outreach, evangelism and discipleship. 

In 2021, Dan and I moved our family to Fort Myers, Florida, and prayerfully considered where we would find a home in the tough housing market.  Fort Myers is a spread out city, so I knew that where we landed would be important.  Miraculously, we were able to move into a fun, quirky, bit-of-a-fixer-upper home close to downtown Fort Myers.  At the time, our daughter, Abigail, was invited to Ride Nature’s Shred Sisters women’s group that meets on Monday nights.  She never wanted to miss, and we saw the incredible impact it had on her life and faith. Thankfully, our new home is less than 3 miles away from the House of Ride Nature.

Over the past year and a half, Abi got more involved, and as all three of our kids begged us to get them to skate church, wake church, the skate backyard, I saw not only the impact it was having on our kids, but also on the local community.  I would grab a latte and then watch as the Ride folks skated with local kids and encouraged them.  We attended the 2022 banquet and got to hear the vision of Ride Nature to be generous and to share the gospel in locations all over the world. I had been in the coffee shop and had heard about all the missions going out, but it was incredible to hear the scope of the ministry internationally.  I was also touched by the videos and stories from The Pursuit Collective. 

Recently, I saw the team was looking for a position as a Missions Coordinator. I am very grateful to be serving with them and excited to see what God will do this year.  Some aspects of my role will be to support the Missions Director, help coordinate international mission trips, connect with churches, schools, and other organizations, correspond with international missionaries to support them, pray for them, plan potential trips and help them with needs they may have as the position develops over time. 

More than anything, I would love to have people team up to pray for me, for my family, for our team of staff and interns, and especially, for those who will hear the Gospel, even for the very first time, through the ministry and mission of Ride Nature.  Also, each of the staff of the organization are raising personal support as missionaries, and I will be doing the same.  I would like to invite you to be a part of our financial team and help us reach our monthly financial goal of $4,000.  We are thankful for any amount that the Lord directs you to give, but it is the monthly financial partnership that will allow for more time and energy to be directed to the mission of sharing the Gospel through the action sports community.  Thank you for your prayers and support!  I am super excited to be a part of this organization committed to bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
